This term we ended our medieval times topic.
We have studied the progress and effects of the plague, known as the black death.
Also we have learned the roles of every person in the society back then.
Another thing we have learned is that merchants would have to go to different countries and risk a lot to get stuff for there own land.
That the medeival times ended when inventions were created and castles were becoming useless.
I have personally found out the structure of medieval buildings and towns.

This year we have been doing tech. So far I have been in
- Electronics, where we made cars. I Am not great and was one step behind everybody else but by the end of the session I was always at the right place
- Next was woodwork where we made stools. I am terrible at woodwork but managed to get my white stool finished
- The the class I just finished was sowing where we made bags. My bag was blue/black denim (or what looked like it ) and on the inside a black background with multi-coloured hearts on it. Ib was a bit better at this and was comftorable sowing.

The skills I have learned are,
- How to make an inanimate wheel spin by motor.
- How to cut perfect circles and other bits and bobs like that.
- The best way to drill holes.
- How to unpick and how to thread a sowing machine.
- how to sow a bag without making it messy.

medieval learnings
This term we have been studying medieval times.
What we have learnt is that the king is highest but rarely rich enough to have his own army so he gives barons and knights land so that they provide him with serfs and knight to fight. Somewhere between the knight and serfs are the merchants and crafts men.
The knights and barons are called nobles and they may own a section of land and got paid by the serfs who farm his land.
Priests were often rich, for the church had a lot off power.
We have learnt about crop rotational cycle, where there are two plots with different plants and one with no plants.
What I would like to learn is
How often would war break through neighbouring countries.
And would they ever be in peace or alliance.
How did they write ( what font, the language) and how did messages get around.
