Review of Saint Bridgids and Saint Mary's
First at Saint Mary's I arrived late and went on the tour with two of the year 13's. The tour was very long and we kept on running into other groups. Another down point was they did not have very good facilities. I cant yet compare it to other schools but the languages seemed good. It was a longer tour than I expected.
Then there was Saint Bridgid's. It was very fun plus awkward because I do not have the very good reflexes needed for one of the games. The other games were fun including gotcha and days of the week. During the monring tea I made a friend called kate. unfortunately she was not in my group. This was just as fun as I expected if not not more. I got out of it more intent to make new friends in new places.

ST Bridget's / ST Mary's open day
Tomorrow I am going to the Saint Mary's open day with the the rest of the year 8 girls. I am hoping that I will be able to tell what classes I would like to take and whether I like the school. The way I can make it enjoyable for others is to listen and take in everything.
We are also going to Saint Bridget's. I am hoping that it will be fun and that we will learn about the school. Some ways to make it nicer is to be respectful and to talk to the people that I don't know. Another way is to participate fully in everything.

Financial literacy
Just the other day we had a guy talk to us about financial literacy. This may seem an uninteresting topic but the guy did well to hide it.
The main points of this were;
-In saving you had to be clear about your goal, it has to be achievable and it has to be realistic. A realistic time frame and a realistic goal.
-To spend some on you but save some too
-When deciding a job, pick one that you are interested in as well as the money. you need , for jobs, experience, qualification and motivation
All this affects me because I now know that I should pursue my dream job of a scientist and it will help me on my way to being a good saver. (No credit cards and reward yourself along the way)

HOLIDAY
This was the master chef programme in my holidays.
The first week of the holidays my sister and I went to a master chief programme. 4 days, 8 recipes a lunch and a desert each day. On Monday, the first day, the organisers explained to us the health and safety rules and the procedure. Then it was on to work. We started of making ambrosia, a sweet treat of yogurt, cream marshmallows and fruit. That all went well, Aimee and I being the quickest at whipping the cream.
But then there was the bacon and egg pie to make. Unfortunately there wasn't enough resources for my group to make it so we had share with the others. Thankfully there was plenty for everyone. I was disgusted by the fact that one of the people who made it ate four big pieces of it.
Tuesday
Tuesday was great. We started off making bread and butter pudding. That was easy enough but looked disgusting before being cooked. By at the end of cooking it we decided to savour food for home. After half an hour Aimee had to go to a party so I was left alone to make the shish kebabs. I managed to make it with the ingredients of capsicum, tomato, onion and meat. after a unfilled afternoon we ended up not eating them.
Wednesday
Today was ANZAC biscuits and winter hamburgers. My group this time instead of making the dessert we made the winter hamburgers. they were very good after the long time it took to make them. YUM. By the time we were set to make the ANZAC biscuits there wasn't enough for the batches my group would make.
After waiting along time for the ingredients we decided to make a half batch just to get one or two each.
Friday
I missed out Thursday because it was ANZAC day. Anyway, on Friday we had to make, firstly quesadillas. These are tortillas filled with beans, ginger and butter. They turned out dry and burnt.
Then we made self saucing chocolate pudding. For most this would be a real treat but unfortunately with the chocolate factor this was not for me.
Over all, the master chef programme turned out great.
