My speech

The people who reviewed my speech said it was bad but I know that I tried. Who cares what other people say if you think it was good then it was. I only really did one thing right I DID NOT FORGET ANYTHING (I think) plus I had what I thought was an originalish speech topic I did book genres. Also I looked around a bit

What I did wrong was talk to fast, 'Not change my voice pattern' (urg) And stand nervously. I could go on but I would be here all day.

Do you have a good solution for going to fast? If you do can you please comment.

-Most parts of Geometry
There are also the things that I can't do two of these are

Is there any way anyone could help me with pie charts especially?

Holidays

My holidays were not the best I have had but that is mainly because I did not go camping. Instead of going camping we went to Rotorua for four days, went to my mums work for a day and stayed home for two. That was just the first week. On the second I went to a cooking programme that was surprisingly empty. On the first day I made, with the eight others, pizza and bread. Second day Cottage Pie and trifle, Third day sushi and pancakes. On the fourth day we made Pasta salad and some other thing. Finlay on the fifth and final day we made chocolate witch hats.

This was indead a very good holiday programme although for a lot of the time we were doing things out side. On the last day of the holiday programme we did a hunt. There were 16 peices of paper over post gate school and the two teams had to find the markers to win.

Would you go If you had the choice?

passion project

My passion project is on small animals. I will figure out how some animals life                                      cycles compare to other ones and what the difference between types or groups                                          of animals are. I will learn a few skills and I will have an immense knowledge of animals.

Would you be able to guess the difference?

Calender art

Last week we did calender art for that I did two Phoenix's. One of t
he Phoenix's was red and the other one was white. At first I wanted it
on a black and grey background but I only had to leave small pieces of
white amongst the grey that you may not be able to see.something else
that you may not be able to see is the acute patterns of koru's and fire.
There are lines on the tail and the story behind mine is a fight between the oldest birds in the flock

The Mysterious Benedict society

The mysterious Benedict society by Trenton Lee Stewart is a book. This book is about four children that go to a test for fun or is it? They get through to the second and third round and by then its just them left! It couldn't be smartness that got them all through because the only smart ones there were the main Character Reynie and another person called sticky who's actual name was George but was called sticky because everything he read stuck in his head. The other two were a do it myself type called Kate and a small ignorant girl called Constance. The four of them passed five tests two were of answering questions, one was not getting answers one was a maze and one was having to figure out how to cross a room without touching the blue squares on the floor with your feet.
What they did after the tests was they had to spy on a castle the world. Their job is not only to spy on them but to stop the evil mastermind who has been planning this for ages. this book is very interesting but if you do read it don't be surprised as to what you might find.

production

From week 1 to week 7 this term we have been practising for the 2 night show of saint Benedict's production, not another fairy tale. This was about a useless quest to wake his parents from a magical sleep.

There were many dances and songs in the production including M.C Hammer's cant touch this and the Beatles hit Being for the benefit of Mr Kite. The other year 7 and eight dance was Holding out for a hero. All of our dances were awesome but the one that i heard most talk of was Cant touch this. The costumes were horrendous but to good extent, almost everyone was in two dances except the scary god mother, the troop and me. There was either a year 7 or eight in each dance, although of this the class in the dance were the main focus. the troop had to venture through all the classes to get the magical ingredients. Room 1 and 2 was snow white and the many Dwarfs, room 4 was jack and the beanstalk, room 5 was ugly duckling, room 6 was ginger bread Olympics, room 7 was Goldilocks, room 8 was broken egg, room 9 was 3 little pigs, room 10 was puss in boots and then off course room 11 and 12 were Knights, freaky circus and King Midas.

Hmmm interesting

The most interesting point of the week was on Sunday, Cait's party

How this is interesting not that it is a party but that it was not actually her birthday it was around 2 weeks from it. What happened was mainly a quiz, the hunger games movie and opening presents. The thing that I gave her was a bumble bee, its eyes were huge!

Comments  like burn at the appropriate bits and at the part were Clove was about to kill Katniss I said "Whatever you do, do not muck up my hair"

Olympic high hanging

Just from the title you are wondering what this post is about. The thing is this post is about how well we have done. Probably our best sport as a whole is definitely rowing in witch we came second as a whole, but can we pull it together and be the best? My answer is yes, at the rio Olympics if we trained I think that maybe, just maybe we could get a few more medals. My favourite Olympic sport is rowing and it is where people get into long slim boats and ,with paddles, try to paddle (row) faster than anyone else without taking drugs or pranking other peoples boats.

Outside the Olympics I have never seen any proper rowing but I myself have had a few lessons. I find it enjoyable to watch the paddles go around and around. It is also reasonably thrilling to know that just a small over lap can be though of as very far behind! An interesting fact about rowing is that in the doubles (two rowers) the one in the back is actually working harder than the one in the front because the one in the back has to do the same exact strokes as the one in front.

If you had the choice to take up rowing, would you try and go for gold?

obsession obsenity

Now if you can conclude that this post is about my current obsession you are getting smart. My current obsession is not a subject nor something you would usually talk about. Its reading! Not just every book I can come by but a particular series. The silver pig series And now that you know that I might as well tell you about it.

The silver pig series is about a man named Didious Falco a private .... something in Rome in the year 70 to 72 in the rule of Vespasian just before Titus. As the series progress he becomes a detective for Vespasian and then his nemesis, Friend, companion, Helena Justina.

They go to Crouton, Pompeii ,ruffly 80 years before the eruption, Brittan and many other various places.

Okay, this is turning into a book report so if you want to skip it the book report is coloured.

All this is done because he is on the trail of a villain called Barnabas who turns out to be actually a dead man. This dead man was at the horse races and was trying to kill him as much Didious was trying to capture him and the others were trying to capture him.

I recommend this series for people like me who don't mind if there are no paragraphs. Even if you aren't you should read it. Its great

My role in the production is camera person but weare all in dances. The dances are I need a hero, King Midas and Mr kite. I am in the King Midas dance. I will be sucsessfull in my role by practising both filming and dancing whenever I can. I do not have very many practises so I will be able to take home a task and that should be enough.

Could you handle the pressure?

Holiday MADNESS

The first week of holidays may have been the best since I had gone to the netball programme and TOWN but that is not what I am here to 'talk' about.

The whole of the second week of the holidays I was at a soccer programme in witch was fun, for the first day! On the first day we did bull rush, dribbling, queen of the court, turning, different form of dribbling, power and finnesse and a soccer competition. Second day, bull rush, dribbling, queen of the court, power and finnesse and a soccer competition. This was what it went like until friday, By that point I was going mad! Luckily friday was olympic themed so we did other things like relays and a soccer competition!

How would you feel if this happened to you?

Rapid!

In the last week or so we have...... had a change in rapid writing.
You may say that we change every time we do rapid writing, but we used to be working on a certain point of writing and putting it in a story. Now we are looking at a picture and a caption and writing a short story around it.

The two that room twelve have done so far are Mr Lindons library and the seven chairs. The captions to these two were 1 "he had warned her about the books now it was to late" and second "The fifth one ended up in France"

What if the caption was " He held her close but she was already fading from the earth" what would the title be?

Reading and hobbies

My Hobie is reading. This does not mean that I do not like other things
but out of almost everything in the world I love to read.
But people have many hobbies and I for example have three.
These three hobbies are(in order of liking) Reading,Netball and soccer.
My absolute favourite book is most definitely Clockwork prince.
Books are very important, they give you hope, happiness and a place to escape to if you chose the right one.

If you truly looked upon your life how much have you actually been paying attention to books?

south island

Hello, my Easter holidays were probably the best I have had yet, we went down to the south island. we drove through Picton to get eye drops and some pastries before going to the picnic place. The eye drops were for my eye because on the ferry my eye had swollen and had gone a slightly creamy color. once we had got to the picnic place I got to have a look. It turns out that I got a apple crumble pie!
The next trip was to Hamner springs and we finally got to see our motel. We were staying at the kakapo lodge just outside of Hamner. on the first day we got used to the lodge but after 20 minutes it was 6.30 and we decided on an early dinner. We had roamed the streets for a few minutes before we decided on the pizza place. it turned out to be pretty good and after we had finished there was still 4 pieces left!
Then we made our way to the springs to relax. I came to realize that the springs were much nicer at night than day. The next Day we came back and stayed the day for it was better than I realized. There was a  slide that always had a cue and a fast river.

After Hamner we took the long drive down to Christchurch to look at the damage there. When we got to Christchurch we drove to our lodging and got used to the scene. but we went exploring on foot shortly after that. We had lunch in the Christchuch botanical gardens and then we went to the art museum. After this we wandered the streets down to container mall.
The next day we went to the antarctic center to look around. First we went in the storm , after that was glad for warm hand rails. after being in minus18 degrees we went on the oddly amusing hagglund ride. We had been mucking around in the center for hours we went back to the hotel.

The next morning we took of for Greymouth via shantytown. It was actually better than I thought but still don't advise you to go out of your way for it. So that night was spent in Greymouth waiting for the opportunity to leave the next morning but the excitement of the trip never faltered.

We then went to Motowaka via the Punakaiki pancake rocks. After exploring paths around the rocks we drove to our hotel. for the rest of the day we played around. The next day we went to tepukatea bay for the day. when we were there we did barely any swimming and allot of walking.
As soon as we had done this we raced our way towards Nelson to meet Peter and Bridget again. As always their house seemed homely because we had housed their paintings for a few years. After a day of longing around in both the bay and their house. The next day again was a relaxing day for we went on a long sight seeing bike ride. At the end of the day we had been all over Nelson and most of all I had favored the Maze.

The next day sadly was the day to go back to wellington. Once we had got home it still felt like we were on holiday.
Well Done For Reading All Of My Post.
