obsession obsenity

Now if you can conclude that this post is about my current obsession you are getting smart. My current obsession is not a subject nor something you would usually talk about. Its reading! Not just every book I can come by but a particular series. The silver pig series And now that you know that I might as well tell you about it.

The silver pig series is about a man named Didious Falco a private .... something in Rome in the year 70 to 72 in the rule of Vespasian just before Titus. As the series progress he becomes a detective for Vespasian and then his nemesis, Friend, companion, Helena Justina.

They go to Crouton, Pompeii ,ruffly 80 years before the eruption, Brittan and many other various places.

Okay, this is turning into a book report so if you want to skip it the book report is coloured.

All this is done because he is on the trail of a villain called Barnabas who turns out to be actually a dead man. This dead man was at the horse races and was trying to kill him as much Didious was trying to capture him and the others were trying to capture him.

I recommend this series for people like me who don't mind if there are no paragraphs. Even if you aren't you should read it. Its great

  1. I've read the first one of the series and found it quite interesting. I get the feeling the series probably keeps improving as you get to know the characters more, so I'll have to try the next one.

While you're into Roman stuff, you could try The Eagle of the Ninth, The Silver Branch & The Lantern Bearers by Rosemary Sutcliffe. They are set in Roman Britain and are really good. Kind of old-fashioned style but I'm sure you could handle it.
